This proposal is to replace a dilapidated villa beyond restoration. The design continues on the main features of the existing villa with respect to solar ori- entation and access. The program has been expanded to create a villa that meets today’s residential requirements.
The shape and organisation of the oor plans, has created spaces with varied spatial qualities, where residents can come together and where they can withdraw from one another. The villa is situated on top of a dune protruding just above the surrounding villas of the landscape. However, it is concealed by its form, materialisation and vegetation along the property line, guaranteeing privacy. The living spaces on the ground oor have a transparent character. These are organised around a court- yard, creating an own ‘world’, one that is enhanced by a travertine wall acting as a transition from public to private.
